Branch 208, Fleet Reserve Association

fra2_2.gif

The Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) serves the enlisted personnel of the Sea Services, USN, USMC, USCG.  Membership is open to all active duty, reserve and retired personnel with at least one day of enlisted service.  The FRA was formed to uphold the traditions of the United States Navy, Marine Corps & Coast Guard; to aid in adaquate defense of our country; to assist in obtaining the best type personnel for our Sea Services.  This is accomplished by keeping members informed on Navy, Marine Corps & Coast Guard matters; honoring the memory of our departed Shipmates, and maintaining an interest in those who served and are now serving.

The FRA has full time lobbyists that educate and testify before Congress on issues important to enlisted Sea Service personnel.  We sponsor legislative briefings and updates to keep you informed about threats to your pay and benefits.  FRA reprsentatives also stay in constant touch with government departments and agencies and will intervene on your behalf regarding your career and veteran entitlements.

In this way, we accomplish our two basic purposes: 1) to represent the enlisted point of view before Congress and government committees, and 2) to assist members in solving individual career and entittlement problems.

Note:  This site will be updated at least twice per month; more often if news warrents it.
